To
BENJAMIN F. SMITHFor and in consideration of the sum of thirty dollars to me paid I, GEORGE JACKSON of the County of Marion and State of Tennessee have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to B. F. SMITH, of said County and State a certain tract or pure sell of land lying in the 3rd Civil District of said County containing by estimation three acres more or less and bounded as follows viz: Beginning on an old black gum corner between myself and said SMITH; running east twenty-six poles and five links to a hickory then northwardly thirty-five poles and twenty-one links to black oak then down bank of the river as it meanders to the beginning. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land to the said, B. F. SMITH, and his heirs forever, I bind myself and my heirs to warrant and forever defend the title to the said tract of land to the said B. F. SMITH, and his heirs.
Given under my hand and seal this 29th day of March 1869.
