  Rogers Cemetery

The wall was donated by W.K. Armstrong 1940

This small cemetery holds the founder of Rogersville as well as a few other notables of Hawkins County. The wall, referred to above, is made of stone and about 3 feet tall. Each burial listed below is as I read the stones.

grandparents of Davy Crockett
who were massacred near this spot
by indians in 1777.
