Henry Price Estate

Henry Price

My 4th Great grandfather, Henry Price, was born 1769ca. and died in October 1808.  He married Catherine Wax in Winchester, VA in 1787 and they moved to Hawkins Co, TN where Henry owned 200 acres on Cloud's Creek in the Choptack community.  Many of the Hawkins Co. Prices trace their ancestry to this couple.  Henry Price was on a trip to Bedford County, VA in 1808 when he contacted typhoid and died.  This inventory of his possessions is interesting
as it shows what a person may have taken with him when traveling in the early 1800's, and what Henry Price considered necessary to carry with him in his travels.
