This is a picture of the old Presbyterian Church of Humboldt. It is located on the northeast corner of 12th Avenue and Maple Street.

This building was built in about 1866-67 for the Presbyterian Church. It was used as a church until when the two Presbyterian Churches combined in 1919. It sat abandoned until about 1925, when it was bought and made into apartments. The pews went to the Fruitland Presbyterian Church. The pastor of the Presbyterian pastor lived upstairs for several years. When it was made into apartments in the 1920's, several changes were made to the structure.
One change was that the additions were removed. The gothic windows were removed. It was made into a 2 story building.

Mr. John G. Warmath purchased the building in 1925 to remodel it for apartments, but he sold it to Hayes and Brooks(a construction company) and they finished it. It became known as the Brooks Apartments. It has been abandoned for several years now.
