Go back to the introduction of Sarah (Sally) Coggin m. in 1797 in NC
to Mark Merritt.
Her father was James Coggin who came from Isle of Wight Co., VA with his
brother Robert around 1750 to Franklin Co., NC. They were joined later by
their brother, Joshua Coggin.
James's father was Robert Coggin, Jr. and his mother was Mary Johnson.
Robert Coggin, Jr's. father was Robert Coggin b. abt 1685 and his mother
was Sarah D. Green.
Robert Coggin's father was John Coggin, Jr.
son of Dr. John Coggin (Cogan) and Frances Bland of London, Eng.
