On Motion of John Phifer who Made oath according to law and together with him Uriah Phifer and R.P. Rushing his securities who appeared in open Court and entered into and acknowledged the due execution of their bond in the penal sum of Twelve hundred dollars conditioned as the law directs. Whereupon it is ordered by the Court that he have letters of administration upon the estate of Peter Phifer deceased to be Made out in due form of law when required.
On Motion it is ordered by the Court that Benjamin Thompson be appointed overseer of the road to work from the Town of Camden to Abel Utley’s, hands as follows & all the hands that formerly worked under Charles Thompson or in the bounds shall now work under said Benjamin Thompson on said road and is established in the 2nd Class.
The Court then proceeded to Make an appropriation to Thomas Jones, one of the Commissioners of the Town of Camden for services rendered as such Commissioners and there being present and presiding on the bench a Majority of all the Justices in Benton County and all voting in the affirmative it is ordered by the Court that the sum of Ten dollars be allowed and paid said Jones by the Trustee of Benton County out of any money in the Treasury for general county purposes not otherwise appropriated.
Personally appeared in open Court Alexander McRea guardian of Minor heirs of Mathew Melton deceased and together with him Wm. J. Greer and Wm. D. Hyer his securities who appeared in open Court and acknowledged the due execution of their bond in the penal sum of seven hundred dollars conditioned as the law directs.
Personally appeared in open Court Jacob A. Browning guardian of J.A. Bomar a Minor and together with him John F. Johnston and Pleasant Mullinix his securities who appeared in open Court and acknowledged the due execution of their bond in the penal sum of One thousand dollars conditioned as the law directs.
Personally appeared in open Court John D. Rushing guardian of Syntha Ann Murray a Minor and together with him D.P. Hudson and Wm. J. Greer his securities who appeared in open Court and acknowledged the due execution of their bond in the penal sum of Three thousand dollars conditioned as the law directs.
Personally appeared in open Court John D. Rushing who was this day chosen and appointed guardian of the Minor heirs of John B. Graham deceased and together with him D.P. Hudson and Wm. J. Greer his securities who appeared in open Court and acknowledged the due execution of their bond in the penal sum of Two hundred dollars conditioned as the law directs.
On Motion it is ordered by the Court that John Melton, Jr. be appointed overseer of the road to work from the forks of the road this side Ramble Creek to Edward Lindsey’s, hands as follows; Edward Spain, John S. Allen, Edward Brewer, E. McBride, Neil McNeil, John Reynolds, Riley Pearce and Lewis Holland shall work under said Melton on said road which is established in the 3rd Class.
On Motion it is ordered by the Court that Kenneth Reddick be appointed overseer of the road to work from where it crosses the Huntingdon road at the head of Ramble Creek to where it intersects the Wyatt’s Mill road leading from Willis Rushing’s hands as follows; Larkins Nichols, A.D. Reddick, Nicholas Brewer, Calvin Reddick, William Holland, Asil Herndon, and Samuel Brewer shall work under Kenneth Reddick on said road which is established in the 3rd Class.
The Court then proceeded to Make an appropriation to C.K. Wyly for furnishing a shroud for William McGee who was before his death a pauper of this County and there being present and presiding on the bench a majority of all the Justices in Benton County and all voting in the affirmative it is ordered by the Court that the said C.K. Wyly be allowed and paid the sum of Three dollars by the Trustee of Benton County out of any money in the Treasury for general County purposes not otherwise appropriated.
The Court then proceeded to make an appropriation to Henry Jordan a pauper
of said County and there being present and presiding on the bench a Majority of
all the Justices in
Personally appeared in open Court James K. Nance guardian of the Minor heirs of John D. Naber deceased and together with him Henry Stegall and John W. Utley, J.D. Rushing his securities who appeared in open Court and entered into and acknowledged the due execution of their bond in the penal sum of one Thousand dollars conditioned as the law directs.
On Motion it is ordered by the Court that James Gordon and Timothy Reaves be
appointed Commissioners of the Town of
Court then adjourned until Court in Course.
