Mrs. Mary Lee Brown--Mrs. Mary Lee Brown, 78, widow of the late John A. Brown, member of a pioneer family of Haywood County, passed away Tuesday morning at the family residence on the lower Brownsville road. She was the daughter of the late Mary Dickinson and Alvis Williams and was the last survivor of their seven children. She had spent her entire life in the community in which she died and was often sought out by community residents in tracing family histories. To all her friends she was familiarly known as "Miss Mary Lee," for she devoted all her time to her family and friends. She was a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are her sons *James, Donald and Herschel Brown of Bells, Walter Brown of Brownsville, Mrs. Ray Monger of Memphis, Mrs. Eugene LeLoach of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Mrs. Vernon Bond of Denmark, Tenn., and Mrs. Dora May Ivey of Bells, two grandchildren, Deryl Brown Ivey, serving in the armed forces in Korea and Cheryl Ivey of Bells. Funeral services were held at Providence Methodist Church on Wednesday, August 29 at 3:00 p.m. with interment in Providence Cemetery. The Revs. Lloyd Mayer and Harry Estes officiated. Pallbearers were Paul Norris, James Norris, Harry Williams, Horace Overton, Isaac Shaw and Howell Joyner. (*Not sure of name. Film had a black streak across the name.) Ben F. Climer--Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Cairo Baptist Church for Ben F. Climer, who died at his home in Cairo Tuesday. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery with Sudbury Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Climer was born and reared in the Crockett Mills Community and leaves a host of friends. He was 63 and a member of the Cairo Baptist Church. He leaves his wife, Alta; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Vick and two granddaughters of Martin, Tenn.; one brother, Milton Climer of Cairo; four sisters, Mrs. Della Riddick of Maury City, Mrs. Alice Hamlett of Miami, Fla., Mrs. Kern Peal of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Mrs. Lucy Spears of Pocahontas, Iowa. Robert Reed Gibbons--Services for Robert Reed Gibbons, who died in the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital Wednesday, were held at the Maury City Baptist Church Thursday afternoon at 3:30. Rev. Ben Hill officiated, assisted by Revs. J. T. Drace and Ernest Boone. Burial was in Maury City Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. He was 69. Mr. Gibbons was a retired merchant. He was a member of the Maury City Baptist Church and a highly respected citizen. He leaves his wife; seven children, Robert Gibbons, Mrs. Louise Cooper, Mrs. Faye Turnage, James Gibbons, all of Maury City, Jack Gibbons and Mrs. Olive Nichols of Alamo, and Mrs. Josephine Griffin of Clarksville, Tenn.; his stepmother, Mrs. Mary Gibbons of Memphis; a sister, Mrs. Nannie Burrow of Friendship and 11 grandchildren. Bob Carman--Funeral services were held today (Thursday) at the Church of Christ in Friendship at 3:00 p.m. for Bob Carman, who died at his home near Friendship early Tuesday a.m. R. E. Black of Maury City officiated. Burial was in Elizabeth Cemetery with Sudbury Funeral Home in charge. Mr. Carman was 58. He was born in Dyer County, but had lived in Crockett most of his life. He was a well-known farmer and a member of the Friendship Church of Christ. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Allie King Carman; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Hill of Athens, Tenn., Mrs. Paul Hill of Milan and Mrs. Pershing Doss of Churchton, Tenn.; five sons, Charles Edward Carman of Chickasaw, Ala., Leon, King Miller, Adrian and Robert, Jr., all of Friendship; six sisters, Mrs. Winnie Vernon, Mrs. Florence Beaver and Mrs. Lucy Watson of Friendship, Mrs. Marion Clark of Johnson Grove, Mrs. S. D. Sewell of Bradenton, Fla., Mrs. Lula Elliston of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, John Carman and Vernon Carman of Friendship and 15 grandchildren. Crash Injuries Fatal to Cooper Alexander--Cooper Alexander of Jackson, Tenn., ginner and farmer and a member of the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees, died Sunday a.m. at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis of injuries he received last Tuesday in a truck collision near Pinson, Tenn. Mr. Alexander, who was 29, was born at Chester County, Tenn., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Alexander, who now lives at Pinson. He was graduated from the U.T.J.C. at Martin, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, receiving a B. S. degree in Agricultural Education, summa cum laude. He was listed in Who's Who in American Colleges and an outstanding student in all his college activities. He married Miss Mildred Pierce who was then a Home Demonstration Agent for the University of Tennessee agricultural extension service. They have two children, Brenda Louise, who is 3 and Pierce Cooper who is 18 months. Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the First Methodist Church in Jackson. GI's Body on Way Home-Barney Boyd to be Buried Friday Near Gadsden--The body of Pvt. Barney Joe Boyd, 17 year old Crockett County soldier killed in action in Korea last Jan. 14, will arrive by train at Bells at 6:50 Thursday night. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon at Salem Presbyterian Church near Gadsden with the Rev. Carl Davis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Boyd of Humboldt, Private Boyd was serving with the Third Infantry Division. He also leaves five brothers, Billy Gene Boyd, Berney Neil Boyd, Buddy Darrell Boyd, Bruce Terry Boyd and Byron Douglas Boyd, four sisters, Mrs. Claude Bolton of Memphis and Betty Ruth Boyd, Beverly Ann Boyd and Bernice Boyd all of Humboldt. Ronk Funeral Home is in charge.

Hill - Williams Vows--Miss Carolyn Joyce Hill, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Mann Hill of Mayfield, Ky., became the bride of Cpl. Robert Jefferson Williams, son of Mrs. Selma Williams, Saturday evening at six o'clock, August 25. A quiet ceremony was performed by Rev. R. G. Lee in his study at Bellevue Baptist Church using the double ring ceremony. Miss Judy Hill attended her sister as maid of honor. Mr. Harry Lafferty served as best man. Cpl. and Mrs. Williams will be at home at 3529 Bowen Ave., Memphis, Tenn. Keathley - Bonham--Miss Catherine Louise Keathley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Keathley of Memphis became the bride of Mr. Robert Eugene Bonham of Huntington, Ind., Sunday, August 19th at the Kennedy Baptist Church in Memphis. Miss Keathley is the daughter of the former Bertha Harwell and granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Harwell, Sr., of Friendship. Bride was Taken by James D. Blackard--Miss Mary Sue Perry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Klyce Perry of 620 Shotwell, became the bride of James DeWitt Blackard, son of Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt H. Blackard of 3523 Douglass, at 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon at St. Matthew's Methodist Church. The Rev. Bruce A Crill, pastor, officiated and music was presented by Mrs. Crill. The couple was graduated in June from Messick High School, and Mr. Blackard is now attending Memphis State College. They will live at 3740 Park. Mrs. Blackard is the granddaughter of Mr. Cecil Lewis of Alamo and Mrs. J. W. Perry of Alamo.
Shivers Reunion at Legion Hut in Alamo--The annual Shivers reunion was held at the Legion Hut in Alamo, Sunday, September 2nd. Toy Reunion--The Toy reunion was held in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Toy in the Liberty Hall Community Sunday. Johnson and children, grandchildren and great grandchildren met in the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Prescott of Alamo for a reunion. Guests present were Mrs. W. J. Johnson of Bells; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Johnson and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Johnson and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Goetz and daughters, Mrs. Matildia Prescott and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Neely, Mr. and Mrs. James Williams and son, all of Bells; Mr. and Mrs. G. N. Reeves of Maury City; Dr. and Mrs. Hubert Johnson and children of Raleigh, N.C.; and Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Wray, Jr. and son of Jackson. A delicious dinner was served at the noon hour. Gifts were presented to Mr. and Mrs. Prescott for their wedding anniversary, which happened to be on that day.

J. B. Colvett--James Bunyan Colvett of Crockett Mills died Sunday morning in a Jackson hospital. Mr. Colvett had been in failing health for sometime. "Bun" as he was familiarly known to a legion of friends was born and reared in the Crockett Mills Community, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Colvett and was 67 years of age. He engaged in farming for a number of years and later was engaged in the mercantile business at Crockett Mills, retiring a few years ago on account of ill health. He was a member of the Christian Church at Crockett Mills and for many years active in church work. He was a high-toned Christian gentleman. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Crockett Mills Christian Church with the Rev. Frank Perry of Selmer officiating. Burial was in Crockett Mills Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Edwards Colvett; two daughters, Mrs. Nannie Fern Lyons of Indian Head, Maryland, and Mrs. Laverne Milstead of Marbury, Maryland; one brother, C. A. Colvett of near Alamo and a sister, Mrs. Alice King of near Alamo, also a number of nephews and nieces. Mrs. Lena Daniel--Services were held Thursday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock at the Bethesda Presbyterian Church near Friendship for Mrs. Lena Daniel who died at her home in Crockett Mills Wednesday night. Burial was in Bethesda Cemetery with Friendship Funeral Home in charge. Rev. L. W. Todd of Alamo officiated. She was the widow of John Daniel, merchant and farmer of Crockett Mills who died 11 years ago. She was 82 and a member of the Baptist Church. She leaves three sons, Hal Daniel of Memphis, T. Daniel of Chattanooga and Will Daniel of Crockett Mills, eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Mrs. Jaynes Passes Away--Mrs. Annie Pearl Jaynes passed away Thursday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kyle Bridger. Mrs. Jaynes was 72 years old and was born and reared in this county, but had made her home in Haywood County with her daughter, Mrs. Clifton Russell, for a number of years. The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Baptist Church with Rev. J. E. Sharp in charge and burial followed in Belleview Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. Her grandsons, Joe Bridger, Corp. David F. Jaynes, J. B. Byrum, James, Charles and Joe Freano, Jr., acted as pallbearers. Mrs. Jaynes is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Kyle Bridger of Bells, Mrs. Clifton Russell of Bells, Rt. 3, Mrs. Emma Jetter of Brownsville; one son, Mr. Joe Freano of Memphis; one brother, Mr. Earl Fulbright of Blytheville, Ark.; twenty grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Mrs. Jaynes was a noble Christian character and will be greatly missed not only in the family circle but also by a large number of friends and relatives. James Butler Nelson--Mr. James Butler Nelson died last Friday at his home in Gadsden after an illness of 18 months. He had been a resident of this section for many years. He was 57 years of age. Mr. Nelson was a highly respected citizen and his passing is mourned by many friends and relatives. Two sons, B. J. Nelson and William Nelson, both of Gadsden, survive. Burial services were held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Gadsden Baptist Church by Carl Davis. Burial was in Young Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge.

Birthday Dinner--A surprise birthday dinner was given in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Bledsoe near Alamo, Sunday in honor of Lonnie and son, Robert. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bledsoe, Mr. and Mrs. Connie Bledsoe and sons, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Yearwood and son, Mr. and Mrs. George Yearwood and sons, Mr. Willie Yearwood and Betty, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin McFarland of Memphis, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Jines of Humboldt, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Bledsoe and children. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kail were afternoon guests.
Miss Elizabeth Williams Wed to Freddie Hays--Miss Elizabeth Williams, daughter of Mrs. Ollie Williams and the late Mr. Ollie Williams, became the bride of Freddie Hays, son of Mrs. Florence Hays and the late Mr. Hays, Sunday morning, Sept. 9 at the First Methodist Church at Bells. The chancel of the church was beautifully decorated with arrangements of white gladioli in tall baskets. Nuptial music was given by Mr. G. W. Mobley, organist and Mrs. B. B. Barnes, vocalist. Rev. Guy Halford performed the ceremony. Mr. Joe Hays served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Jerry Williams and Marion Bailey. The bride who was given in marriage by her brother, Nathaniel Williams of Nashville, wore a pearl gray gabardine suit with navy accessories. She carried a white orchid and tuberoses. Miss Ann Taylor was maid of honor. Her dress was navy faille. She carried tuberoses. After the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Hays left for the Smoky Mountains. Upon their return they will live with the bride's mother. Miss Bettye Jo Brown is Saturday Bride of Harvey P. Carter--The Broadway Church of Christ, was the scene Saturday afternoon, August 25, for the wedding of Miss Bettye Jo Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown, of this city and Mr. Harvey P. Carter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Carter, Iron City, Tenn. The double ring ceremony was performed at five thirty o'clock by Jess Hall. Miss Marion Fisk, soprano, Misses Frances Jordon, Janice Hall, Carolyn Warren, Betty Rudolph and Mrs. D. O. Oliver presented the nuptial music. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Miss Millie Sue Brown, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Miss Louise Fuller, Mrs. Randall Shaffer and Mrs. Russell Phelps, cousin of the bride, of Louisville. Little Louise Read served as flower girl. Max Nash of Dyersburg, Tenn. was Mr. Carter's best man. Ushers were Roy Warren of Memphis and Ralph Nance and Jess Hall, Jr. Immediately following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Brown entertained with a reception at their home. Miss Nancy Powell registered the guests. Serving at the punch bowl were Misses Barbara Nance and Jane Darden. They were assisted in serving by Miss Mary Loy Watson, Mrs. Edna Shemwell, Mrs. Conley Broyles, Mrs. Scott Clark, Mrs. Blanche Mullen and Mrs. Ruby Houseman. Mr. and Mrs. Carter left immediately after the reception for a wedding trip through the Smoky Mountains. After Sept. 1, the couple will be at home at 1111 West Washington Street, Petersburg, Va. Rubel Wyatt--Military funeral was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Floyd's Chapel Methodist Church for Rubel Wyatt, who was killed in Korea in January 1951. Burial was in the church cemetery with Friendship Funeral Home in charge. The Chaplain of Millington Naval Base and the National Guard Units of Alamo and Dyersburg officiated. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Jackie and Wendell Wyatt. John Christopher Forsythe--Mr. John C. Forsythe, resident of the Cypress community near Alamo since childhood, died last Thursday at his home after a long illness. Mr. Forsythe was 67 years of age and a highly respected citizen. He is survived by his wife; five children, J. C. Forsythe, Mrs. Sybil Holt, Gadsden; Mrs. Lurline Short, Leonard Forsythe of Miami, Fla.; James Forsythe, Alamo. Also one brother, Perry Forsythe of St. Louis, Mo., and two sisters, Mrs. Bettye Bailey of Memphis and Mrs. J. A. Bailey of near Gadsden. Services were held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Cypress Methodist Church, the Revs. George Pressler and Finley Ingram officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. Etta May Caldwell--Etta May, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren G. Caldwell of near Crockett Mills, died Sunday after a few hours illness. She is survived by her parents; one brother, William H. Caldwell, and one sister, Mary Ann Caldwell. Funeral services were at the home Monday at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. L. W. Todd, pastor of Cairo Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Crockett Mills Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. William Irving Davis--William Irving Davis, 53, died last Friday at his home near Bells after an illness of about one year. Mr. Davis was a farmer and carpenter. He was a highly respected citizen of his community and active in church work. He was a deacon and Sunday school teacher in Walnut Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Hester Davis; five children: James Farrow Davis of Memphis, Mrs. Harold Hazen of Oklahoma City, Okla., C. H. Davis, Anna Margaret Davis and Shelby Jean Davis of near Bells; his mother, Mrs. G. H. Davis of Jackson; a brother, J. E. Davis of Memphis and seven sisters: Mrs. Tom Cole, Mrs. A. L. Garrett, Miss Lurline Davis, Miss Kate Davis, all of Jackson, Mrs. Jim Clement of Bells, Mrs. George Jones of near Bells and Mrs. Oscar Green of Alamo, also one grandchild, Stephen Hazen. Services were held Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Walnut Hill with Rev. J. E. Sharp officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Goosmann Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers: Hunter Miller, Fred Miller, Eason Miller, Earl Miller, Bob Green and G. H. Green. Mrs. Ellen McCaslin-Mrs. Ellen McCaslin, aged 89, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. Barr in Dyer. She is survived by four children, A. D. McCaslin, B. S. McCaslin, Memphis, Mrs. Barr and M. J. McCaslin of Dyer. She was the last charter member of Dyer Baptist Church. Services were Sunday at Dyer Baptist Church with Revs. Woodrow Shanklin and V. L. Barr officiating. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge.
Bells Items--Mrs. Thelma Revelle is at Jackson-Madison Co. Hospital this week helping to take care of a new granddaughter, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Revelle of Haywood County, who was born recently.
Miss Marie Nash and Joe Neal to Marry Next Month--Announcement is made today of the engagement and approaching marriage of Miss Anne Marie Nash and Billy Joe Neal. Miss Nash is the daughter of Mrs. C. T. Nash of Bonicord and the late Dr. Nash. Mr. Neal is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Neal of Bonicord. The ceremony will be solemnized at four o'clock Sunday, Oct. 7, at the Bonicord Church of Christ. Miss Nash is now employed by the Dyer County Board of Education and Mr. Neal is employed by the Dyersburg Post Office. --Dyersburg State-Gazette
Humphreys - Roberts--On Sept. 1st at 7:30 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Benton, Ky., Ben Humphreys, Jr., of Bells, Tenn., and Patsy Roberts of Benton, Ky. were united in marriage. Miss Roberts is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Roberts of Benton. It was a beautiful double ring ceremony performed by Paul James Waller, with only the members of the immediate families and Miss Alice Jenkins, Bobbie Wayne Williams, Bobbie Tooms and George Taylor of Bells and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Smith of Redland, present. After the ceremony they returned to the Roberts home for a reception and refreshments. A large crowd was waiting and all enjoyed the occasion. The bride and groom slipped away for a short honeymoon. They returned to Bells the following Wednesday and left Thursday for Columbia, S.C. where the groom is stationed at Fort Jackson in the service of his country. May they live a long and happy life.

J. M. Warren--Joseph M. Warren, 79, a leading citizen and retired farmer, died Sunday afternoon of a heart attack. Mr. Warren is a direct descendant of the Warrens, first settlers in the community, now known as Maury Junction. He lived for many years in the Cross Roads Community where he farmed until his retirement a few years ago and was living in Maury City at the time of his death. He was a member of the Church of Christ, and one of the county's most highly respected citizens. Services were held Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Cross Roads Church of Christ with Ernest Boone of Alamo officiating, assisted by J. P. Needham of Maury City. Interment was in Belleview Cemetery at Bells with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. W. H. Smith of Maury City; a son, Neal Warren of Alamo; five brothers, Oscar Warren, Tom Warren and Walter Warren of the Eleventh District; W. R. Warren of Alamo and John Warren of Brownsville, and two sisters, Mrs. Joe King and Mrs. Hill King of Friendship. Fred S. Beaver--Fred S. Beaver, 58, well known citizen of Johnson Grove, where he had lived for 20 years, died on Monday at his home of a heart attack. He was reared near Friendship. Mr. Beaver was an employee of the Hughes Gin Co. and a highly respected citizen. He was a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Mary Hughes Beaver. Services were Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Edgar Williams officiating. Burial was in Robertson Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. Coxville--Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Emison, Mrs. Willie Emison and Edward Emison attended the funeral of Mrs. Ozell Davidson last Saturday afternoon at Walnut Grove near Cades. Mrs. Davidson was Mrs. D. E. Emison's stepmother.

Dotson--Mattern--Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Dotson of Bells, Tenn., announce the recent marriage of their son, Cpl. Dennis D. Dotson of Denver, Colo., to Shirley Mattern, also of Denver, on Sept. 1 at the First Baptist Church in Clayton, N. M. It was a double ring ceremony. Donald Mattern, brother of the bride, served as best man. Mrs. Donald Mattern served as matron of honor. Shirley was attired in a tan wool gabardine suit with white accessories and wearing a purple orchid. Dennis wore his Air Force blue uniform. After the ceremony the bride and groom motored to places of interest in New Mexico and Western Texas. After a few days they returned to Denver where Cpl. Dotson is stationed at the Lowry Air Force Base. They are now at home at 2390 Dexter St. Margaret Hall, Edward Trembath, Jr. Wed-Norfolk, Va.--The marriage of Miss Margaret Ederle Hall, daughter of Mrs. Ora B. Hall of Alamo, Tenn., to Edward Trembath, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Trembath, Sr. of Detroit, Mich., took place Saturday morning, September 8, at 10 o'clock at Miles Memorial Methodist Church, Norfolk, Va. The double ring ceremony was performed by Dr. Theodore M. Swann, Pastor of the church. Mrs. Lonnie Denton Hall, sister in law of the bride was matron of honor and only attendant. Mr. Lonnie Denton Hall, brother of the bride, with whom she has been making her home for the past seven months, was best man. After a wedding breakfast in the Blue Room of Burroughs Restaurant, given by the bride's brother, Mr. Lonnie Denton Hall, the couple left by plane for a wedding trip to Washington, D. C. After their return they will reside at 2622 Harrell Avenue, Norfolk, Va. Mrs. Trembath attended school in Alamo where she received honors in Home Economics and Salesmanship. She took an active part in the First Christian Church of Alamo, of which she is a member and served as Secretary for two years and Attendance Secretary for two years. She sang in the choir and was part time soloist. Mr. Trembath attended school in Highland Park High School in Detroit, Mich., and took an active part in St. Paul's Methodist Church, of which he is a member. He is now on active duty with the U. S. Navy, serving aboard the Aircraft Carrier, USS Mindoro.
Boyd Reunion--On Sunday, Sept. 23, the children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends of the late James Boyd met at the home of the only surviving son, Edd Boyd, for their annual reunion. There are two surviving daughters, Mrs. Laura Plunk of Paris, Tenn., who was present and Mrs. Al Graham of Jackson who was unable to attend because of ill health. It was a beautiful crisp autumn day and all seemed cheerful and happy. Yet there was a tinge of sadness due to a recent bereavement. Uncle Edd's grandson, Barney Joe Boyd, was killed in Korea and a short time ago his body was returned for burial in Salem Cemetery. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the bereaved parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Boyd. After a morning of pleasant conversations all gathered together their well-filled baskets of food and soon a bountiful feast was spread beneath the shade of the old oak tree. Thanks were said after which we all enjoyed the feast. There were forty-two present in the morning and four afternoon callers. They were: Mrs. Laura Plunk and daughter of Paris, Mr. and Mrs. Hall Smith and daughter, Mr. Leonard Boyd, Mr. and Mrs. George Bryant and children, Mr. and Mrs. James Hunt and daughters of Alamo, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Boyd and children, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Boyd, Mrs. Irma Boyd, Mr. Homer Emison, Mr. and Mrs. Doc Hudgins and children, Mr. and Mrs. Gaylon Boyd of Memphis, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Boyd and children, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Gene Boyd, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Robinson, Mrs. Ida Lamon and Byrle and Mr. and Mrs. Irby Cornatzor. At a late hour all departed for their respective homes, looking forward to another reunion next year and to the great reunion after awhile. -One Present
