The Crockett Times For his country--We know of no one who gave their life in the service of their country to whom greater honor is due than the Rev. Guy Turner whose body will be laid to rest in National Cemetery in Memphis Friday. Halls lost a number of dearly beloved and respected boys in the war and nothing is to be taken away from their supreme sacrifice, but the Rev. Turner, a chaplain and as such classed as a non-combatant, refused to leave a front first aid station in time of danger and as a result gave his life. Not only our former pastor, but also a close friend and performer of our marriage ceremony. We again extend our deepest sympathy to Louise and Guy's parents and brothers and sisters. --Halls Graphic Dr. J. H. Pittman--Dr. J. H.
