November 4 2004 Bulah Mae (Whaley) Queener, age 89 of Ohio died
at her residence on Nov. 4 at 10:05 a.m. She was born Oct. 19, 1915 in Vasper,
the daughter of William and Belle (Seivers) Whaley. She moved to Sidney in 1955
from Vasper. She married Roy Queener on Sept. 2, 1933 and he died Oct. 18, 1997.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and caring for Roy and her family. She
was preceded in death by her daughter, JoAnn Young, granddaughter, Vickie
Heatherly; brothers, Elmer and Jack Whaley; sister, Minnie and Elsie Mae;
son-in-law, Elmer D. Housley. She is survived by her children, Joy Baird and
husband, L.C. of LaFollette, Betty Housley of Jacksboro, Bobbie Heatherly and
husband, R.L. of Union, Oh, Brenda Kizer and husband, Phil of Tipp City, OH,
Linda Miller and husband, Terry of Tipp City, OH, Buford Queener of Nashville
and Danny Queener and wife, Beth of Russia, OH; 23 grandchildren, 36 great
grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Funeral services were Nov. 8 at
Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home, Paul Napier conducted the service.
Interment was in the Graceland Cemetery. Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home

Daniel “Dan” Queener, age 69 of Rogersville, went home to be with
his Savior on August 13, 2004 while resting peacefully at his home. He was a
member of Roe Junction Baptist Church in Morristown. He enjoyed hunting,
ginseng, and arrowheads (which he had a wonderful collection). He loved to read
his Bible. He was a former charter member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He
was retired from AT&T with thirty-one years of service. He is preceded in
death by; Parents, M.F. and Martha Campbell Queener, Daughter, Deborah, Queener,
Brothers; Jacob H., Rev. Harold Ed, and William Bill Queener. Sisters; Nola
Cordell, Grace Melton, and infant sister. Two grandchildren; Maureen Queener and
Bailey Ivey. Father in law; Fred Sheckles, Brother-in-law; Gene Melton. Mr.
Queener is survived by; Wife; Vicky Sheckles Queener of Rogersville, Sons and
Daughter-in-law; Ray and Amy Ivey of Rogersville, and James and Jill Queener of
Mascoutah, IL., Daughter and Son-in-law; Michelle and John Hesch of Grove City,
OH. Granddaughters; Madeline, Morgan and Meridith Queener of Mascoutah, IL.
Brothers and wife’s; Millard and Cleo Queener of LaFollette, and Ira and Martha
Queener of Mascoutah, IL., Sister and husband; Alice and Charles Norman of
Church Hill, Brother and Sisters-in-law, Angie and Junior Adcock, Ann Queener,
and Iva Queener all of LaFollette. Mother-in-law; Ruby Sheckles of LaFollette,
Grandmother-in-law, Gladys Sheckles of LaFollette; several nieces and nephews
and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services were held Sunday at
Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Hembree officiating. Interment was
held at 11 AM Monday in Bakers Forge Cemetery. The family received friends from
6-8 PM Sunday before funeral services. Martin Wilson Funeral Home of LaFollette
was in charge of these arrangements.

Jacksboro Man Recovering Henry Queener, 84-year-old Jacksboro
citizen who had been gravely ill at Howard-Henderson Hospital, has removed
sufficiently to sit up in bed and will probably be able to go home in a
week.
March 9, 1933 Henry Queener Taken By Death Father of Well
Known Campbell County Physician Dies Saturday; Funeral Sunday Henry Queener,
Sr., father of Dr. S.D. Queener of Jacksboro, well known physician of Campbell
County, died Saturday in a Knoxville hospital where he had gone several weeks
ago for an operation. Mr. Queener was eighty-three years of age and was known
and liked all over this section. For the past seven years since the death of his
wife he had made his home with his son, Dr. S.D. Queener in Jacksboro. He has
always lived near Jacksboro. Funeral Services were conducted Sunday afternoon
at two o'clock by Rev. W.M. Thomas, pastor of the Baptist Church of
Jacksboro, of which Mr. Queener was a member Burial followed in the Queener
Cemetery. Surviving are one son Dr. Queener, and one sister Margaret Cantrell of
Clinton. Minton Sharp Funeral Home was in charge of the body.

January 26,1984 Queener Dies In West Virginia It was
learned recently that a former Lake City man,Leland(Pete)Queener,69,of
Camden-on-Gauley,W.Va.died after a long illness on Nov.6 at Summersville
Memorial Hospital.Queener,a native of the Coal Creek community,left Lake City in
the 1930's to work in West Virginia coal Mines.He was the son of the late Calvin
and Millie Grose Queener.He is survived by his wife,Hazel Moffatt
Queener,son,Jack Queener of Summerville,stepson,Bob Barnett of
Camden-on-Gauley,two grandchildren,one step-grandson and various Anderson County
relatives.Funeral services and burial were Nov.8 in West
Virginia.

Thomas M. Queener, 81, of Jacksboro died December 1st, 2002 at
St. Mary's Medical center of Campbell County. He was preceded in death by his
parents, Walter and Laura Queener.Mr. Quenner is survived by his wife, Gladys
McGhee Queener, Jacksboro; daughters, Nancy Starrett, LaFollette, Kathy Wilson,
Jacksboro; sons, Tommy Queener, Bill Queener, both of Jacksboro; sisters, Alma
Brewer, Mary Ellen Cain and Glenna Lay all of Jacksboro; six
grandchildren.Funeral services were December 3rd in the chapel of Martin Wilson
Funeral Home with Reverends Bobby Ray, Bill Hutson and Mike Smith
officiating.Interment was in Jacksboro Cemetery with Campbell County Honor Guard
