Dear Sir,
You letter written ???
?i?? the month of Dec. last was recieved and
read with interest. Lissie would have answered
it before this time but she has not been in
a condition to write. On last Sunday night
she was confined and now has a fine
girl. Of course she is a fine one, as ?o Co??
Mon. ones are ??? hean? of in the begin
ning of life. But it is a matter much
to be ?egsetted that so many are ?uine? in
the ?uising. This leads to a ??flection o??
the fearful responsibility of parents ?o???i?
early and infuse in to their youthful minds
a love of virtue and truth and thereby for???
th??? youthful minds against the bineful
efforts of ?ice. I do not regret that I have
a family but I _______ ______ that I fale so
for short of doing for them What I ??sise.
The school closed on last Friday and
will open on next Monday. It has been my

determination not to teach the next session but
I have not yet got anyone to take my place
I shall commence with the determination not
to continue longer than I can ____ the
??s of some competent man to take my place
in school. Lissie is doing pretty well so far. She
has had the best attention that the county can
afford and if she gets o back set she will
be about in a few weeks.
The farmers are complaining of
the peal injury done to the wheat crop and say
they will not raise any wheat next year but
they are great _____ bless in this county and
must have something of which to complain.
Lissie has just had a spell of the
blues But I think she will soon get over them. She
will write to you when she gets well. So
I have no news of _______ ______ I must close
this letter
