Mrs. Fine Dies at Home in This
City
Death Terminates long illness. Is survived by
husband and six children.
Mrs. E.V. Fine, wife of E.V. Fine, died at her home
on Charlemont Avenue, here early Saturday morning, where she had been sick since
the early part of June. Mrs. Fine was 55 years ol age, having been born in
Washington County near Johnson City in 1868. She is survived by her husband and
six children; Mrs. Ella Wagner, Mrs. Nell J. Stone, Mrs. H.H. Neal, Mrs. Easley,
Mrs. Maude Williams and Bert Fine, all of this city, Homer Fine, of Knoxville,
Tenn., and Allen T. Fine, of Jellico, Tenn. The funeral services were conducted
at the First Baptist church here Monday morning at 9 a.m. by Rev. E.O. Woodyard
of the First Methodist Church, who was her pastor. She has been a member of the
Methodist Church since her early childhood. The services were followed by
internment in the Oak Hill cemetery at Johnson City. The pall bearers weere J.L.
Sholin, I.M. Fuller, J.W. Fain, W.B. Cox, T.J. Palmer and L.V. Templin. Flower
bearers were misses Blanche Arnold, Threasa McCellan, Kathleen Morton, Georgia
Crum, Annette Grizzle and Effie Ketron.
