Stedham Hall
Stedham, Sussex, England

The most prominent building in Stedham, England is Stedham Hall on a hill overlooking the Rother River. The house was originally built about 1520. By the middle of the 19th century it was rebuilt into a typical Victorian villa, covering the original timbers and brickwork with stucco, and replacing the ancient window panes with plate glass windows, Above is photograph of Stedham Hall in the late 1860s.

Stedham Hall was sold about 1870. This advertisement appeared in The Times.
