SAND BOYS at TEDDY BEAR Clay and Sand pits, just north of the Trenance viaduct, Gover Valley , circa 1920 - 1930 - the boys in back are traditionally dressed for work. The ones in front might be "boss", because they have vests. Teddy Bear was visible in photos of the viaduct from the turn of the century, but by 1980, the area had completely regrown.
