Batoche / Fish Creek
St. Antoine du Perdaue Church used by the Village of Batoche. The bell and many artifacts went missing following the Louis Riel Rebellion. In the July 20, 2000 edition of the Saskatoon Star Phoenix, there is an article on pages A-1 and A-3 regarding the silver bell of this church. Following the Northwest rebellion of 1885, many artifacts were stolen from the area of Batoche. Arrangements are being made for the return of this bell which was named Marie Antoinette to the church in time for the 30th annual Back to Batoche celebrations. | |||
