in galacia in 1878 and died & buried in kamsack in 1955. My dad born
in kamsack 1911 & buried in kamsack in 1958. Harry housack
homesteaded in kamsack area-st philips, i think, maybe around arran. My
dad's sister was annie and she married a bill baron from around kamsack.
I am looking for any info on these families, especially when Harry
Hussack came over from Europe and what ship . My dad was married first
to Pearl Koreluk after she died he remarried to mary steciuk from
endeavour. Then I entered the picture, and I would like if anyone can
give me any info or pics. Nick swerhun was one of our relatives from
kamsack. come on kamsackers dig for some info for me, i will be out

My mother, Gwen
Rhodes grew up on a farm in High Tor and attended a one-room school-house
until she was about 9 yrs old.
Rumor says that one of my great, great, great grandmothers was
responsible for naming the town.
My mom's dad's last name was Rhodes and my mom's mom's
last name was Walsh.
Is there anyone that remembers either family?
I know my mom and my mom's mom attended a reunion at the one room
school-house back 1984.
In 184 the farm they used to own was still standing, but appeared to be
deserted and been used as a grainery at some point.
The roof of the barn was gone, but the rest of it was still there.

I used to live in Kamsack in the 50's.
We moved to Wpg in 1960. We first lived on my Grandfather's, Chris
Bochnuik, farm East of town. I attended Prairie Queen school with my
aunts Connie and Liz Bochnuik. Our next door neighbours were the Lazars.
Arden Lazar was my friend but he died very young. We moved into Kamsack
and lived on Windsor st. I used to hang with Phil Mydonick, Sydney
Angelski, Billy Kazakoff and Ben Hladun. Is there anyone here from that
era?
