Elizabeth was the daughter of Reverend Johannes NAAS early minister of the Church of the Brethren in America. Heinrich LANDIS built a stone house in 1750 Amwell, New Jersey, which still stands and is a Registered National Landmark where Lafayette recovered after the ordeal at Valley Forge during the Revolutionary War.
