DIED

Mark Zuber, of Arena Township, died Wednesday January 17th, 1900, at 2 o’clock a.m, of cancer, an illness of about a year.

Mr. Zuber was born in the providence of Alsace, Germany, April 17th, 1822, and was 77 years and 9 months old at the time of his death. He served six years in the French revolution. He came to America in 1854, resided in Missouri, Iowa and Minnesota and came to South Dakota in 1885. His wife died in November, 1887. He leaves 13 children, all, of whom were with him except one daughter, Mrs. Mary Springer who lives in Chicago. He was a kind loving father and gained the respect of all with whom he came in contact. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m.
