AUSTIN - My mother's grandfather was the first territorial
marshal . His name was Azerith AUSTIN. He had a ranch/farm outside
Iona. He was there before there was Lyman County. Any information would be
helpful. He is mentioned in the book called Lyman County History, but his
history was not gone into except to comment that they held dances and had
harvest dinners at his place. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
I'm not sure of the spelling of his first name. But he was on the first
ballot voting in Lyman. Shirley SMITH
