My dream about Aunt Katy's knick-knack came true
It's Halloween tonight. Be good to the little ones and watch out for them so
the "big guys" don't take their candy away.
A long time ago when we lived in Utah I dreamed I had gone to visit my dad
(already deceased) and he was living in what my dream mind remembered as Walt
and Viola Berg's house in Reliance. When I went in to see him, he told me he had
been working on this project and he wanted me to come see what he was doing.
We went upstairs to this huge open room and there were tables lined up with
hundreds of knick-knacks and what-nots. He told me to pick out the one I wanted
and I could take it home with me. As I left, he told me to remember him to my
cousin and her husband, Maxine and Red Warnke. I called them to tell them he
said hello and I was to give them the message.
Several months later, we came home to attend the funeral of my special aunt,
Katie Stallman (Maxine's mother). As
we all ended up at the farm south of Reliance after the burial, we were told to
put our coats in the bedroom off the
living room. I went in to put my coat down and there, on Katie's dresser, was
the knick-knack I had gotten from my father! !! Do do, doodoo, do do doodoo.
Make of it what you will.
This is all I have time for this time.
Have a safe Halloween.
