Sloe gin fizzes and other "too sweet" stuff

Taylor spent the night one night last week. I bought her the cereal "with the marshmallows in it" and I'm here to tell you, I thought it was very good. I had two bowls with her. Of course, my lips were
stuck together for the rest of the morning. I don't expect I'll eat anymore of it and maybe I can switch her to shredded wheat. Ya, right. I don't think I've had that much sugar at one sitting in a long time.
I quit drinking pop, or soda, or whatever you call it, several years ago. One bottle and my feet turn
into footballs, so it is either grape, apple or orange juice, or water. One night during bingo, I had this
big thirst and opted for a bottle of the good stuff. My God, the sugar rush from the first drink was un-
believable! Immediately, I needed another drink, then another and another. Before I knew it, the
bottle was emptied and I still needed more and my footballs wanted a tub of ice water. I can see how a person gets hooked on that stuff.
Kind of like the time when we lived in Ely, Nevada and Ed's sister Joyce and her husband came
to town so we took them to the local casino for an evening out. Me, being the testy person I am, got offended about something so I sat myself down to sloe gin fizzes. Just like drinking cotton balls! Cherry-flavored cotton balls, no less. Gooooood cherry-flavored cotton balls. Ed just let me have my way; he's so good to me. Standing up and walking out the door was a little difficult, but I got home all right. At least, that's where I was when I came to...
Never was a coffee drinker, well, there was that year when I was in the fourth grade and I had to stop by Ivah Hickey's cafe every morning on my way to schoolfor, good grief, it just hit me ... for a sugar fix! I'd have a cup of coffee that was white with milk and thick with sugar. No wonder I thought I liked coffee, besides, it meant I was grown up!
Let's see, I learned something new last week that I feel will be wonderful for men and women alike to learn. It may come in handy someday. You can run individually-wrapped peanut butter kisses through the washer and once they dry out, although they're in various shapes, they do still taste great! I don't think I would opt for drying them in the dryer. A couple of days on top of the washer and they're as good as new!  Check it out ... or maybe you already have (unintentionally).
