George Kentch, how obits should be written

George Kentch and the way obits should be written

I just have to comment on George Kentch’s funeral in Reliance last week. My gosh, his sons and grandson took George for a tour around the old homesteads to the south of town then to the north and finally around town before the service. Then the eulogies of love and respect given for this man by his family members is the way a funeral should be. Celebrate the life that has passed!

Brings to mind the way obituaries are published. It always seems to me that there is so much more to a person’s life than the fact that he was born, went to school, served in the military, belonged to an organization or two then died. I always wonder what about the personality and characteristics.
