Moore's Co. Enlisted August 7, 186_ (possibly 1861), Camp Pickens, by John C. Whitfield, 3 years or duration of war. Present from November/December 1861 to April 1863. May/June 1863, absent sick. July/August, 1863 to July, 1864, present. August 1864, absent sick. Listed as absent since June 10, 1864. June 17, 1864, listed in Receiving and Wayside Hospital No. 9, Richmond, VA. Admitted June 14, 1864. June 16, 1864, McGowan's Brigade, Jackson Hospital, diagnosed with "scoobutus." July 8, 1864, transferred to Huguenot Springs, VA. Huguenot Springs, VA, Jeb Stuart SCV Camp 1343, contains monument denoting 250 Confederate soldiers buried in common grave.
