District by 1783, when his son James Love was born. Mark was married to Sarah ORR, who was born in Newberry County. Mark Love enlisted as a horse soldier at age 13 in the Revolutionary War. By 1811 he and his family moved
to Blount, Tennessee, and later to Bath County, Kentucky where he drew a pension from the war and died in 1830. Mark Love came from Ireland when he was 9 years old on the snow ship James and Mary.
