CENSUS AND TAX RECORDS
1800 Census, Horry County (Annotated)
Transcribed and contributed by Jim Farmer The transcript records the households in the area of South Carolina that today includes modern Horry County. There is also part of modern day Georgetown County included in the census record but the division is not certain enough to leave out the Georgetown County residents. The 1800 Horry County Census has been annotated with references to the earlier 1790 Federal Census. In order to compare names and keep up with varieties of spellings, the households of the 1800 census that seem to have been mentioned in the 1790 census are marked with an asterisk after the numerical information.1880 Census, Gallivant's Ferry Township, Horry County (Abstracted)
