Will of Thomas Bath

County of Georgetown

IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN. I, THOMAS BATH of the County and State aforesaid, being in my right mind, possessing my usual mental gaculties and knowing that all men must die, fo make this my last Will and Testament for the benefit of my lawful heirs.

I do give and bequeath the tract of Land that I now live upon, known as the home tract, equally divided between my beloved wife, Mary E. Bath and Daniel M. Bath my son the division so to be made that my wife, Mary E. Bath hold the House and field where I now live. I do give and bequest to my Daughter Sarah F. Powers and Mary Jane Pope and their children after them a certain tract of land known as the Worth tract to be equally divided in acres between them so that Sarah F. Powers retain the place where she now lives, Now I decree and desire that at the death of my Dear Wife the land given her by this will to wit, the three hundred and fifty acres of the Home Tract where we now live be equally divided between my son Daniel M. Bath and my daughter Mary Jane Pope. I do give and bequeath to my Dear Wife all my stock of Hogs and one third of the stock of cattle her choice the other two thirds of the cattle stock to be equally divided between the three children, Daniel M. Bath, Sarah F. Powers and Mary J. Pope. I do give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Mary E. Bath all my other personal property, viz - all crop on hand together with Plantation tools, moneys, household furniture, horse and buggy, stock of geese or anything pertaining to the premises now in case at my deceased there should be any timber deaded upon my lands said timber to be cut according to my contract and sold and my part to be given to my wife Mary E. Bath, and I do herein appoint as my Executors of this Will and Testament my son Daniel M. Bath and Rolin K. Pope and delegate to them the additional power that should any of my heirs shall forfeit their share of my property which portion shall be equally divided between the other heirs at law.

Given under my Hand and Seal this 17th day of October, A.D. 1899.
