    In the name of God amen.  I Robert Pawley of  Prince George Parish Craven County in the Province of South Carolina, Planter, being of sound mind and memory do make and declare this my last Will and Testament, in manner & form following that is to say first I will that all my just debts be paid and discharged as soon as conveniently may be by the Executors hereafter named of this my last Will & Testament and in order thereto, I hereby fully authorize and impower my said Executors to sell the whole or any part or parcel of my Estate real and personal and to make titles to any lands they shall sell or dispose of.   Item: I give and bequeath unto my honoured Mother Anna McDowal two hundred pounds current money to be paid her yearly and every year during the term of her natural life.  Item: I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Frances Pawley all the residue and remainder of my estate real and personal to her, her heirs, executors administrators and assigns for ever and I do hereby nominate and appoint my beloved wife Frances Pawley to be Executrix and my beloved brothers-in-law Joseph Allston and John Allston Executors of this my last Will and Testament. 

In witness whereof  I do hereunto sett my hand & seal this sixteenth of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty-two.

Proved by a virtue of a Dedimus before G.G. Powell the first day of December AD 1762 At the same time qualified Joseph & John Allston as Executors & Frances Pawley as Executrix.
