WILL OF MOSES BRITTON

In the Name of god, Amen, I , Moses Britton of Prince Georges Parish, Craven County and Province of South Carolina, Planter, being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory, thanks be to God for it and calling to mind the mortality of man and that we must die do constitute and appoint this my last Will and Testament, giving and granting first of all my soul to God who gave it and my body to the Earth to be decently buried at the discresion of my Executors not doubting but they will be reunited again in a Joyfull resurrection at the last day----- And as for such worldly Estate as it has pleased God to blefs me with I give divise and bequeath as follows---- It is my desire that my whole Estate be kept together till all my Just debts are paid and if money be raised before any devision be made Agreeable to the directions hereafter mention it is my desire it should belaid out in Negroes by my Executors hereafter named------Imprimis-- I give devise and bequeath to my Beloved Daughter, Ann Britton, one fourth part of all my personal Estate which she is to receive at the age of sixteen---- ITEM I give devise and bequeath to my Beloved Son, Daniel Laine Britton, one fourth part of all my personal Estate, Also one half of all my lands, houses, in which he is to receive at the age of Sixteen. ITEM I give devise and bequeath to my beloved Son Benjamin Britton, one fourth part of all my personal Estate. Also the other half of all my lands, as which he is to receive at the aforesaid age of Sixteen-----ITEM I give devise and bequeath to my Beloved Daughter Rebecah Britton the remaining fourth part of my personal Estate, which she is to receive at the Age of Sixteen, to them and their heirs for ever----- ITEM I give to my Beloved Brother Philip Britton, one 2 year old brown mare Pilly, I give to Henry Britton, one colt of a mare called Maurice. I give to my beloved Brother Francis Britton one horse Darby.----I give to Mary Roberts one cheap horse and cheap saddle, And Lastly, I constitute and appoint my beloved Brother Francis Britton and Henry Britton Executors to this my last will and Testament, disannuling and revoking all former wills, ratifying and confirming this my last will, To which I have set my hand and seal this 28 day of November in the year of our Lord 1773----
