WILL OF HANNAH C. GRIER

In the name of God, Amen,

I, Hannah C. Grier of the County of Georgetown and State of South Carolina, being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make, ordain, publish, and declare this to be my last Will and Testament; That is to say, first after all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, the residue of my estate both real and personal I give bequeath and dispose of as follows, to wit; To W. L. Cribb, John James, Enos & Chas. E.B. Cribb the land and appurtenances situated therein known as the Okra Branch containing 809 acres more or less share and share alike. Item 2. Whatever portion of my personal property that is left after my just debts and funeral expenses are paid I give and bequeath to my nieces Hannah Singleton, Emma Jane and Margaret R. Cribb share and share alike. Likewise I make constitute and appoint my brother John Cribb to be executor of this my last will and testament, giving him full power and authority to sell or cause to be sold any portion or part of my estate that I may die possessed of without recourse to law to settle my just & lawful debts and to appropriate the residue of my estate as herein directed. In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this 16th day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy three.

Signed: Hannah (her mark) C. Grier
