THE FAMILY BIBLE OF ELIZABETH RICE KIRTON

Original bible is in the possession of the aunt of Charles David Moore. The Bibles were transcribed from the copies in possession of Joann Fairbourn.

There are 3 bibles. The first is presumed to be the bible of Elizabeth Rice Kirton.

A note of family history written by Joann Fairbourn--

Elizabeth Rice Kirton moved West in 1836 with several of her brothers and her granddaughter, Maria, who had lost her father and her mother. Benjamin Thomas Wilson, Maria’s older brother, remained in Georgetown with their paternal grandmother, Martha Josephine Linerieux.

Died at Woodland, Tenn, on the 23^rd of December 1864, Doc (Charles Rice) youngest son of James P. and M. L. Walker.
