The Jeremiah Looper Cemetery. It is on Deer Creek/Little Pond Road, off HWY 135 North from Easley, SC The graveyard is a short distance from the road. Approximately 125-150 feet in a small clearing in a wooded area. It can not be seen from the road. The area was not posted last year when I was down there. I was told that Benny Looper (864- 859-8069) of Easley, SC looks after the cemetery. Mrs. Sandra Oshields (864-859-5951) has knowledge of these cemeteries. This small cemetery has only two marked graves and a marker out beside the road. All other graves are marked with unmarked fieldstones. The marked graves are Jeremiah Looper and his wife. Buried in unmarked graves are Andrew R. Simmons and wife Elizabeth Betsy Lesley. Andrew was my gggrandfather. Harold "Waddy" Miller was told that Andrew is buried there. There is another Looper family cemetery in the area ( Daniel Looper Burying Grounds) but I do not have directions.
