Note on shortly before June 5,1999 a brush fire occurred in the rear section heavily burned, to help control the blaze fire crews called in a Bulldozer most of the dozer damage was kept to a minium however a few stones were pushed up. I visited on June 5,1999 after reading of fire in local paper they stated they knew cemetery was there but had to control fire. As for Why so many deaths in 1849 I checked 1850 Mortality Census the local water supply was contaminated with Typhus. I have nice photos of the inscriptions from several stone and tombs chalk was used to bring out inscriptions, if they can be used Jimmy Hunt Aprlhnt@aol.com
