Smyrna Baptist Church
Near Allendale, SC and organized in 1827 as Kirkland's Church. The
name was changed in 1856 to Smyrna Baptist Church. Title to the site was
conveyed in 1849 by William J. Mixon. Additional land was given by Thomas
H. Willingham in 1882 to extend the church property to Matthew's Bluff
Road. Surveyed in 1985 by Mary Brunson Gray and submitted for inclusion
by Marie Brunson Jefferson
