The date and place of the marriage of Jacob MOON to Temperance STANDERFER is based on the IGI, as given to me through message #43 in Topic 11, Category 35 of the Genealogy RoundTable on GEnie from Richard Lanham.
The date is based on a picture of his gravestone provided to me by Richard Lanham. John Moon, 1850 U.S. Population Schedule, Upper Okaw, Coles County, Illinois, sheet 52, family 69, dwelling 69, Micropublication M432, roll 101, National Archives, Washington, DC (hereafter cited as John Moon, 1850 Coles Co., IL).
The date of death information comes from a picture of his gravestone supplied to me by Richard Lanham.
This date is based on the fact that a possible daughter of their's lists her age as 32 in the 1850 census.

This date is based only on the fact that a Nancy WOOD appears next door to the family of John MOON in the 1850 Coles County, IL census (p. 52). And we have reason to believe that Nancy did indeed marry a WOOD based on the 1860 Piatt County entry which shows Catharine MOON (Nancy's mother) living with two small girls with the surname of WOOD.
