50. John George⁴ Sickafus was born in Washington, Maryland March 10, 1800. John died May 26, 1851 in Cass, Michigan, at 51 years of age.

He married Elizabeth Blazier December 15, 1825.

54 v.David J. Sickafus was born December 31, 1832. He married three times. He married Margaret Kelly. He married Mary Fanrote. He married Harriet Minnick.

55 vi.James J. Sickafus was born January 30, 1834. David Sickafus was a soldier in the Civil War, as was also his brother James J. It was while serving his country that James J. met with a sad misfortune. While standing under a tree during a storm and holding his horse, the tree was struck by lightening and the bolt killed the horse and the shock was so severe that he never regained his right mind. Thus it was that he gave his life for his country. Not dead in reality, yet dead to himself, and the sacrifice is just as great as if he had been slain in battle. (Zigenfuss to Zickefoose, p. 136-137).

56 vii.John W. Sickafus was born in Alleghany, Ohio August 6, 1837.⁽⁵⁰⁾ John died January 24, 1901 in Moultrie, Illinois, at 63 years of age.⁽⁵¹⁾He married Sylvia Alice Hall in Moultrie, Illinois, April 29, 1875.⁽⁵²⁾

57 viii.Julyan Margaret Sickafus was born June 26, 1844. Julyan died August 11, 1888 at 44 years of age. She married William Smith in Moultrie, Illinois, November 6, 1862.

58 ix.Sophia Ella Sickafus was born September 23, 1848.⁽⁵³⁾She married Nathan Bragg in Moultrie, Illinois, January 16, 1873.⁽⁵⁴⁾
