QUAKER-ROOTS is a very helpful discussion group for anyone with an interest in their Quaker heritage. Quakers kept excellent records and documented their migration into new areas. If you find one Quaker family on your family tree, you probably have many more! As of March 1999, this list has approximately 1,100 members. It is suggested that you subscribe to the list in DIGEST mode if you find the volume of e-mail overwhelming. HOW TO CHANGE TO NOMAIL MODE	There is no formal NOMAIL mode. All you have to do is follow the directions above and unsubscribe when you want the messages to stop, and then when you want them to start again, simply subscribe again.
POST A MESSAGE TO THE LIST	You must be a member of the list to post a message to everyone on the mailing list. Just address your e-mail to QUAKER-ROOTS-L@rootsweb.com. It will then be sent on to everyone in both mail and digest mode. You don't need to send it explicitly to both.
