Pine Hill Cemetery
Magog, Stanstead County, Quebec

From downtown Magog take Pine Street (rue des Pins). The cemetery is on the left at the top of the hill. The Catholic cemetery is directly across the street. If the main gate is not open then you will have to park along the road and enter by a small gate at the top.

This is a large Protestant cemetery as Magog is the second largest city in the Eastern Townships. Some headstones were transferred here in 1977 from the Old Union Cemetery. They can be found at the back near the shed. Dates range from the early 1800s to the present and it is used today.

The cemetery is well maintained and there is a nice covered sitting area and paved lanes. There is also a military section close to the sitting area. It is a very scenic resting place as the lake and mountains can be seen in the distance.

We last visited and photographed the monuments and ground stones in this cemetery in 2015.
