New Boston Cemetery
Stanstead County, Quebec

 

Location: From the town of Stanstead, take Fairfax Road to Stage Road. Continue on Stage Road for several miles which will become gravel as are the subsequent roads. Then follow Smith Road for several miles. At the junction of Smith and Beaulac, take Beaulac, or alternatively you could continue on Smith which will end up at Beaulac anyway. A stone's throw from this second junction of Smith and Beaulac lies little New Boston Cemetery on your right. 

This quaint little cemetery is just a small square plot of fenced and mowed land in the woods. It is maintained by the Crystal Lake Cemetery Corporation and all stones are legible with dates ranging from 1851-1893 so it appears to have been used for about forty years. I walked and read this cemetery in July of 2005.
