Sharon Norton of Ontario sent on that their new site is in French, but that there is a great deal available:
- 1825-1901 microfilm census of Brome, Shefford, Rouville, RIchelieu, Saint-Hyacinthe and Missisquoi
newspapers on microfilm, ie. British Colonist, St. Francis Gazette (1823-1829), Journal de Waterloo (1882-1938), La Voix de l'Est (1935-?), etc.
- land titles for Shefford Co. 1840-1875
- collection of over 25,000 photos, including the following families: Ellis Savage, Marcel Coté, Jean-Paul Matton, Jeannot Petit
- municipal maps for Shefford (now called Haute-Yamaska) and Brome-Missisquoi birth, marriage & death church indexes
-and much more!
The society request a $5 fee for the use of their beautiful facility. Some of the staff speak english and were very helpful when she visited.
