Ormstown was a region in the west side of the Seigniory of Beauharnois. It was bounded on the northwest by the Catherinestown and Helenstown regions of the seigniory, on the southwest by Godmanchester Township in the County of Huntingdon, on the southeast by the Châteauguay River and Jamestown region, and on the northeast by North Georgetown.

The Village of Durham Cadastre listing is split into 3 groups. The first is simply labeled Village de Durham and exact locations are unknown but it appears to include the valuble properties, mills, etc along the riverfront. The second is labeled Village de Durham (Jamestown) and includes the properties on the south side of the river. The third is labeled Village de Durham (Ormstown) and includes mostly the property of the Anglican Church Glebe (north half of lot 23 Ormstown) that was subdivided into building lots between Lambton St and Martin/Morrow Creek on the south side of Church Street

(The part of the Village of Durham (now the Village of Ormstown) between Church St and St-Paul's United Church was designated in this Cadastre document as "Ormstown". It was mostly the Anglican Church Glebe - the north half of lot #23, First Concession, Ormstown, that the church had subdivided into building lots for the village.)
