WELCOME TO POLAND LOOKUPS:
Opole Province
Emblem of Poland

If you own any books or other resources that include information about the Opole Province and are willing to look up information, please let me know.  As you can see below, volunteers are needed.  Examples of the lookups needed include but are not limited to:
  • Cemetery Books
  • Vital Statistics
  • Census Records
  • Directories
  • Church Records
  • Histories, Atlases, etc.
  • Family Histories
Lookup guidelines:
  • Feel free to request a look-up from the sources listed below.

  • Please limit your request to one name per request.

  • Please put OPOLE PROVINCE LOOKUP PLEASE in the subject line of your request to insure the message is not overlooked or accidently deleted.

  • In the first line of the message please put the name of the source from which you are requesting the lookup.  Be concise, but give enough information for the person to find your information, if they have it.  That means do not simply send a list of names and expect the volunteer to know what to do.  Please take some time to write a well thought out request.  It is not very productive for us to get a request which says nothing more than:  Searching for Jones. [email protected]

  • If you are not certain that your question is appropriate for a specific reference or volunteer, take the time to send the volunteer an email message and ask!

  • If you request a lookup, please thank your volunteer for his or her time.

Many Poles from the Opole province, particularly from the Falkowice - Lubnow - Damratsch area, emigrated to central Minnesota in the 1870 -1880s.  In researching his own surnames, Mike has come across 400+ surnames from this area of Opole while performing his own research and is willing to search his personal database for surnames.
