These are the descendants of Hans Ernst and Verena Krebser of Switzerland

I'm a double descendant, I suppose, as I descend from two different paths, which split after Felix Earnest but rejoin in the marriage of Charles Robertson and Eliza Whittenberg.
Two houses built by Henry Earnest in Greene County still stand, on opposite banks of the Nolichucky River, near Chuckey---the bridge between them is also named for one of his descendants.
You'll also find his name on the historical marker in that county at Ebenezer Methodist Church--first Methodist church in Tennessee, and the original membership was 4/5ths Earnests.

Documentation of relationships is variable, not all these links are certain. Please don't take this site as "gospel" but rather as "to the best of my knowledge right now."
