Roger Mallory Sr. was born in 1680 and is the son of Capt. Roger MALLORY. He married Mary HOLDERBY sometime before 1700.
Children: Elizabeth, Mary, Susanna, John, Florasabila, Roger Jr. William.

Capt.Uriel MALLORY was born in 1738 in Orange Co., VA. He was the son of Roger MALLORY III and his mother was prob. Sarah STREET. He died in 1824 in Orange Co., VA. He was a Captain in the American Revolution and a Justice under Patrick Henry. He married Hannah CAVE, daughter of Benjamin CAVE and Hannah BLEDSOE in 1768. Hannah was born in 1748 and died in1817. Uriel MALLORY Jr. was born Jan 17, 1775 in Orange Co, VA . He died Nov 9, 1840 in Alpine, Talledega Co.,Alabama. He was the son of Uriel MALLORY Sr. and Hannah CAVE. He married Melinda WELCH in 1803 in Madison Co., Virginia. She was a daughter of Nathaniel WELCH and Elizabeth TERRELL, daughter of John Terrell and Elizabeth Ann Towles. Nathaniel was in the Virginia Continental Line. She was born Sep 23, 1787 in Madison Co., VA. She and Uriel moved to Talledega Co., Alabama in 1834 along with son James and other members of the family and some close friends and relatives. She also died in that county in Feb 18, 1842.

Julia (Mallory) Faulkner was my 2nd great grandmother.
She was the daughter of Uriel Mallory and Malinda Welch. She was born in
Orange County, Virginia in1822 and died in Chilton County, Alabama in 1888.
She came originally to Talladega County with her father and mother and older
brother James Mallory. She is found living with her sister, Lucy, and her
husband Mr. Wagner in the Lowdnes County, Alabama census in 1850. She first
married a Dr. Nathan Clark, who I believe was from SC. They had one child
that died in its first year. Dr. Clark passed on about the same time. In
1855 she married Mr. Samuel Hutchinson Faulkner in Autauga County, Alabama.
(Sam had previously been married to Rebecca Sims and had a small daughter,
Mary) THE FAULKNERS did
quite well even through the Civil War, but things seem to have turned downward
soon after. Julia is said to have had quite a hard time adjusting to the
changes that loosing the war brought. Both Julia and Sam are buried in a
FAMILY PLOT located
on their homeplace (Originally in Autauga Co. now Chilton Co., AL.) Two
of their sons are buried in the plot with them. Two daughters are buried
around the corner in the Patillo Cemetery. My great grandfather, Tom, is
probably buried somewhere in Navarro Co., Texas. We have not been able to
determine where exactly.
Children: Mary, Samuel Jr., Claude, Margaret (Maude) Alice, Julia Mallory (Mittie) and Thomas Gillespie.
