Wayne County PA  Vital Records

Registrations of births and deaths from 1893 through 1905 are available through the Wayne County Historical Society.

 Statewide registration of births and deaths began in January 1906.  Copies are available from the Division of Vital Statistics, State Department of Health, 101 South Mercer Street, P.O. Box 1528, New Castle, PA  16103.  (724) 656-3100

Public Records Now Available

Marriage licenses were recorded from 1885 forward.  The Wayne County Historical Society has a collection on microfilm that go from 1885 -1905.  The Wayne County Courthouse has them from 1885 to present.
