Mrs. Hanna Wright, of Colerain, and Robert Wasson of Kennett Square, spent from Friday until Sunday with their mother , Mrs. Elizabeth Wasson at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James McCullough.
(dated: Tuesday, 18 Jul 1950) Mrs. Hannah Elizabeth Wright, age 87yrs, wife of the late James M. Wright, died at her home at Christiana R.D. 1 in Colerain Twp., Friday afternoon at 7:03pm, after an illness of four weeks. A native of Fulton Twp, she was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (McGarvey) Wasson, and a member of the Middle Octorara Presbyterian Church. Surviving are three children: W. Earl Wright of West Chester; Horace G. at home; and Everett R. of Rutledge. 5 grandsons and 3 granddaughters also survive. Funeral was held this (Tuesday) afternoon at two o'clock, with interment at the Middle Octorara Presbyterian Cemetery.

James Vance Leroy Wright died of Pulmonary Tuberculosis. James Vance (called Leroy by his family) was a graduate of Colerain High School. His teachers said that he was a "remarkably bright". Brother Chester died of the same disease several years ago.
