IN THE NAME CF GOD AMEN! Jun the third day 1746, I being weak in body yet in perfect mind and memory blefsed be God for it, do bequeath my soul to God who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent way and manner at the discretion of my Executors, and for what worldly goods as it hath pleased the Lord to blafs me with, I do dispose of in manner end form following, I do make constitute and ordain Mary my well beloved wife, sole Executor of this my last will, during the time of her widowhood, end then Andrew Morrison and John McDowell -- ,

IMPRIMIS I bequeath to Mary my beloved wife the third of all my goods and chattels, Item, I bequeath to my well beloved son John my estate, only one third part on the side of run next to John Thompsons to my beloved wife to dispose of to one of my daughters at her pleashure, the estate and all debts to be paid from the whole head of these effects now on the place, and the rest of all my goods and effects to be divided among the rest of my children viz, Margret, Hellon, Mary, Jean, Elizabeth, Abigail, Sara at the discretion of my Executors, I revoke and disannull all former wills and testaments by me formerly made, and I do constitute and appoint this only to be my last will and testament,

Lancaster County to wit September 1, 1747, then personally appeared James Ireland and William Morrison, two of the witnefs to the within will, and on their oaths respectively declared that they were present and saw and heard James McDowell the testator within named sign publish and declare the within writing to be his last will and testament, and that at the doing there of , he was of sound and disposing mind and memory to the best of their understanding
