23.JAMES COULTER Deceased

IN THE NAME OF AMEN I James Coultert now being Sick and Weak of body but of perfect Mind and Memory thanks be to God Caling to mind that its owing to all Men once to Dye and affter that to Come to Judgment do make and Ordain this to be my last Will and TestamentRevocking and Anulling all and Every will or wills that have been by me heretofore made And first of all I Bequeath my Soul to God who gave it and my Body to be Buried in a Christian and Decent Manner not Doubting in the Least but it shall be Raised again at the Resurection on the last Day and that my Soul and Body shall be United and Stand before the Judgement Seat of Christ Our only Lord and Saviour. AND as for what Worldly goods & Chattels it hath pleased God to Blefs me with I Despose of them in Manner and form as followeth IMPRIM�S I will and Ordain that all Funerall Charges be paid off and all I owe to any Man whatsoever. ITEM. I Leave and Bequeath to my well Beloved Friend Mr. John Pettigrew to be by him Disposed of To the Use of my well beloved Brother Joseph Coultert at Bannbridge in the Kingdom of Ireland as soon as Convenient Affter the said Mr. John Pettegrew�s Arrivell in Said Kingdom the Sum of Three pounds Stertt Irish Money ITEM I Leave and Bequeath to my well beloved Wife Mary Coultert the Sum of Thirty Pounds Stertt Irish Money to be paid to her as Soon as all my Goods and Chettels shall be Disposed of or may be returned into Money. ITEM I Leave adn Bequeath to my Son Jame Coultert Thirty Pounds Steritt Irish Money. ITEM I Leave adn Bequeath to my Daughter Sarah Coultert Thirty pounds Steritt Money as above said the two childrens Money I allow to be lodged in the Hands of my Excut. hereafter Named and affter all neufary Charges that attend my affairs affter my De- fceas is Clearly paid off what remains I Leave to my Son Samuell to be Bestowed upon his Learning to make him a Schoolar & also my Sadle buts and other furniture I allow to be Keept for him untill he come to age to Use them AND Lastly I Constitute Make and Ordain My well Beloved friends Alexander Davison John Davison & Samtt. Davison Near Peggy Crick in the County of Longcaster in the Province of Pencelvenia in America to be Sole Exectes. of this my Last Will and Testament and to take Care of the Education of my Dear Chilas. and to lay out their Money for them and Improve it for their Behove and Advantage untill they become to Age of Manurity Dated upon Sea aBoard of the John and Marget the Seventh Day of August in the year of our Lord God One Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty ffive 1735. THE Deposition of Archibald Mc.Sparran Capptain at Sea taken before me this Ninth Day of February 1735/6. This Depodant Sayth that he Saie this Will Exequted and that the Douer James Coulter was Sound of Mind and Memory to the best of his Memory. -- Tobias Hendricks Arch. M.Sparran Comm. of the Ship King George of Dublin.

LANCAST. COUNTY the Eleventh Day of May Annoque Domini 1736 Then Personally Appeared James Williamson one of the Witnefses to the within Written Will and on his Oath Did Declare he Saw and Heard James Coulter the Testator within Named Sign Seal Publish and Declare the Same Will to be his Last Will and Testement And that at the doing thereof he was of Sound Mind Memory and Understanding to the best of their Knowledge. BE IT REMEMBRED that on the Eleventh Day of May Annoque Domine 1736 the Last Will and Testatment of James Coultert Deced was proved in due form of Law and Probate and Letters Testamentory were granted unto Alexander Davison John Davison and Samuel Davison having first Sworn well and truly to Administer the said Deceds Estate and bring an Inventory thereof into the Register Office in Lancaster County on or before the 11 Day of June next And also to Render an Acct. when thereunto Lawfully Required given under the Seal of the s. Office.
