IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I Martin Barr of Lampiter Township in the County of Lancaster in the Province of Penn?ylvania Yeaman, being sike and weack of Body, but of perfect Mind Memory & unterstanding, thanks be given unto God therefor and knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to dye, to macke and ordain this my last Will & Testament That is to say principaly and first of all I recomand my Soul into the Hands of God that gave it, and my Body I recomend to the Earth to be Buried in a Christian like and decent manner at the Experation of my Executors nothing doubting but at the Gennerall Re?suraction I shall receive the same again by the mighty Power of God, and as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to ble?s me in these life, I Give and Devoice of the same in the following manner and Form,

IMPRIMIS It is my Will and I do order that in the first place all my just Debts and funnerall Charges shall be paid and satisfied

ITEM I Give to my beloved wife Elizabeth the Sum of One hundred Pounds Lawfull Money of Pennsylvania, to be paid to her in one Year after my Deceas, and further it is my Will, That my Son Christian Barr shall permit my said Wife yearly and every Year her durring Life, with fifteen Bushells of Wheat redy ground, to be delivered to her door or in the House and four Bushels of good Malt, for Beer; one fett hocke of the waight of one Hundred Pounds, and fifty Pounds of Beeff, and twelve Pounds of heckled Flax and twelve Pounds of heckled Hemp, but if the Flax mis then he shall delivered all in hemp, and two Barrall of Cyder, & six gallon of Appell Liquar, and four Pounds of Wull, and to keep her a good Milck Cow in fother & Paster as his own, and to give her a good Rideing Horse as often she Juce to Ride and Firewood as much she have Occa?sion for fireing to be delivered to her door, and twelve appell Trees in the Orched to tacke the same wher she plea?ses, and further my said Wife Elizabeth shall have the Liberty and Priveledge to live and macke use of the little Stone House her durring Life, together with the use of halfe Plant and Cappetch Garden to be Dunget yearly and as often my Son Christian Dungs his own

ITEM it is my Will and I Give and Devoice unto my said Son Christian Barr, all this my Land and Plandation whereon I now live, being One hundred and seventy five accers to him the said Christian Barr his Heirs and A?signs forever, for which he alredy delivered his Bonds according to the yearly payments, to be paid to me out of the same

ITEM I Give and Devoice unto my Son Jacob Barr a certain Tract of Land of One hundred & twenty five Accers adjoining to this my place whereon I now live, to him his heirs and A?signs forever

ITEM It is my Will That all the remainder of my whole Estate, shall be equally defided amongs all my Childrens in share and share alike

ITEM I Nominate macke and appoint my beloved Wife Elizabeth Executrix and my Son Christian Barr Executor � and my Son Martin Barr Executors (� interlined in the Will & proved to be so after Signing and Pblishing--see proof) to this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby utterly dessallow revocke and Disannul all and every other Wills Lagacees & Executors, by me at any time before named Willed & bequeatched Ratifying & Confirming this and no others to be my last Will & Testament

IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the second Day of August in the Year one Thou?sand seven Hundred and Fifty seven 1757

LANCASTER COTY, ?S, February the 14th 1758. BEFORE me the subscriber came Hans Witmore and Abraham Buckwalder two of the Witne?ses to this foregoing Will and on their solemn Affirmations did declare and say that they were present and did see and hear Martin Bare the Testator within named Sign Seal Publish Pronounce and declare the foregoing Writing (except the interlincation between the 21st. & 22d. Lines of the 2d. Page of the same) as and for his last Will and Testament and that at the doing thereof he was of sound and disposing Mind Memory & Understanding to the best of their knowledge Ob?servation & Belief. And these affirmants do further say that at the time of the said Martin Bares Signing Sealing Publishing and declaring the said Writing to be his last Will & Testament in their presence as aforesaid the said Writing was without the said Interlincation & the only Executors therein named were Elizabeth the Wife of the Decedent, and his son Christian Barr and further they say not.

BE IT REMEMBERED that on the 14th day of February 1758 The last Will and Testament of Martin Bare deceased was proved in due form of Law and Probate and Letters Testamentary were granted unto Elizabeth Bare and Christian Bare the Executors in the said Testament they being first duly Qualified well and truly to Administer the said Decedents Estate; to bring an Inventory thereof into the Registers Office at Lancaster on or before the 23d. day of March next And also to render a true and just Account of their said Administration when thereto lawfully required.
