Obituary

Clement Stewart

A well known farmer and citizen of Peach Bottom twp died at his home two miles from Delta on Sunday afternoon, after an illness of several months from paralysis he was 65 years His funeral took place on Wed services contuducted by Rev E A Sexsmith and W A Sites the pastor Rev James M Wallace being absent. Pall Bears were Wm E Atlee, David Torbert, John Glacken, Elmer Shannon, Wm J Barton Jr, Sylvanus McKinley. S W Holden untertaker.

Mr Stewart came from Lancaster county some 30 years ago and lived for many years in and near Delta. Later he bought the Dodson Farm where he since lived. He is survived by his wife who was Miss Ewing one son WIlliam J Stewart, of Harrisburg and Miss Harriet at home.

MRS RACHEL STEWART DIES AT HOME NEAR DELTA

Mrs Rachel Stewart, aged 87 years died at her home near Delta Monday afternoon at 5:00 PM as a result of complication which she suffered following a fall at her home some months ago.

The funeral was held at the home at 2:00 PM Wed afternoon with services in charge of Rev B W Jones, pastor of Slateville Church. Interment was in the Slateville cemetery. The pall bearers were Walter McKinley, Dale Malone, Hugh Barton. S W Holden was the funeral Director.

Dysentery

Several new cases of this disease have appeared within the last week, none of which however have proved fatal and in nearly every instance those affected are doing well. Among the severe cases are Mrs John Williams, of West Bangor. The family of Mr Clement Stewart has been very sorely afflicted Another young child has been quite sick and the oldest boy had a relapse. At last accounts however symptoms favorable.
