"Now and then in Providence Township" printed 1976 lists this cemetery on pg 133
"#14 Mt Carmel (15a on map) A U.B. Church is shown in the 1875 atlas, called Mt Carmel, in the point where Scott road joins Mt Airy near the southern tip of the 4 lane highway. This point of land has since been called "Devil's Half Acre" partly because of the moans and groans coming from the ghosts in the cemetery there. There is no evidence of a graveyard there today, but it is belived a few people were buried there (see picture of Brubaker house)
