On the petition of Theodosia B. Steel Widow of John Steele late of Drumore township, Lancaster county deceased

Respectfully represents that your petioner said husband died intestate leaving your petitioner his widow and an only child William Steel now about nine years old and for whom your petitioner has been appointed guardian that the personal estate of said dec'd was insufficent for the payment of his debts and his administrator Jacob Newswanger and John Hess obtained an order for sale of decedants real estate for the payment of the remaining debts dec'd and sold the same and have settled up the estate where on it appears after payment of the debts there is a balance remaining for distribution of about three thousand dollars subject to one claim not yet asertained the interest of one third of which is to be paid your petioner during life and the rest to the ? child of your petitioner which said principal sum is to remain in the possess of your petitioner as guardian for a time and is not now to be paid over and your petitioner being desirious as well for her own interest as that of her child of safly investing the same she therefore prays your honors to permit her by the administration at the rate of six per cent payable annually upon him or heir giving good real security for the payment of the said principal and interest

On the petition of Adminis. C.T.A. of William Steele Esq. of Drumore township in said county dec'd Respectfully represent that their supplementary and final admin. account on the estate of said dec'd was confirmed by said court December 16, 1833 exhibiting a balance in favor of accountants $757.10 chargeable on the Real Estate of said dec'd That said testor by his last will dated 3 Sept. 1821 devised to his son John J. Steel his mannor four in said township containing about 243 acre and he directed his executors settle that part of his farm purchased from Joseph Lawrence and divide the proceeds equally among his daughters who were 6 in number which the accountants according by sold for 1790.77

The said accountants pray the said court to decree what contribution shall be made by the said dec'd (or their legal representatives) $757.10 with interest from 16 December 1833 the said John J. Steele died intestate and his admin. are Jacob Newswanger and John Hess petition read and the court decree
